This piece is by Furricoat by D.L. Ellis of Auckland, New Zealand, a wonderful example of New Zealand-made vintage outerwear. D.L. Ellis produced stylish faux fur and textured coats during the 1970s era, with examples appearing in New Zealand fashion archives and vintage collections. A 1972 advertisement featured a Furricoat by D.L. Ellis made in Auckland, highlighting the popularity of these glamorous winter coats at the time.
