Made under a Private Label in New Zealand, this dress is part of our local clothing-making heritage. Private labels were commonly used by New Zealand retailers and manufacturers to produce garments for their own stores and customers. Particularly through the mid to late 20th century, local manufacturers played an important role in bringing accessible, ready to wear fashion to Kiwi wardrobes.

Cinderella found her Unicorn

This size 10 Big Foot Cinderella stumbled upon her Unicorn Shoes from American Duchess and snaffled them up immediately. (On Afterpay). Having visited the shop a few days previously for the first time, I knew that the advertised shoes were a bona fide product and as a one off item wouldn’t be around for long. This Thrifty Shopper is elated with her purchase, honestly I can’t thank you enough. I’d never have the opportunity to own such a luxurious item if it wasn’t for Peppermint Twist. Also having been told they could be returned for a store credit voucher I felt confident to purchase them without trying them on.

Incredible store with incredible staff! I've purchased both in person and online, and can't say enough about how smooth the purchase was, how inviting the space is, and how cared for the staff made me feel. Don't be intimidated by the prices, each piece incredibly well cared for and sold for no more than it's worth, you'll have a hard time finding the same quality and range for less. If you're looking for true vintage or reproduction at reasonable prices then this is the place for you. 10/10!
